8 Day (Regula 34) Mechanical Cuckoo Movement.

Used as New Replacement Movement.
23.5cm Pendulum Series. (Usually Stamped on Rear Plate)
Will Operate Cuckoo & Rear Gong.
This model operates a Dancer table. Medium Height - 73.7mm from Handshaft to Table Bracket Plate.
This model With Auto Off Lever
Supplied without Chains & Chain Fittings.
No Crutch/Intermediate Pendulum wire supplied.
No Weights supplied.

Normally 8 day weight driven cuckoo clock movements come with chains, hooks and rings.
This movement uses two weights at 2.75 LBS (1.25 Grams).
The pendulum is the Larger size. Physical length= 20cm
The pendulum series drop is the measurement from the Centre Wheel Pinion down to
the center of the pendulum leaf where the clock keeps approximate time.

Plate Size is 73mm wide x 68mm high x 20mm between.
Handshaft length is 43mm fromt front plate to tip.
Handshaft centre of width and 30mm up from base.
Hour shaft tapers from 4.25mm to 4.85mm
Minute position is 2.5mm square.
Rear post is 45mm long.
Pendulum Crutch Wire hangs 27mm from Backplate.
Bird control rod is 250mm
4 Front mounting feet each 8mm out from front plate.

NOTES:

Regula 34 cuckoo clock movement has an 8 day run time.

It will have a mark with 34 either alone or some other numbers along with this number.
A Letter to the side indicates a date code.
The mark 34 will be on the back plate of the movement above the bellow lifting wheel.
If the old unit only says 34 and is marked 23.5cm with only two weights hang from the movement itself and one weight from the dancer bracket, this is the one to replace it with.

To get the "Pendulum length" position for your Cuckoo Movement.
The length of the pendulum drop measured in a certain way.
This is measured from the centre handshaft position of the movement itself and all the way down to the center of the pendulum leaf.
The pendulum leaf slides up and down but this measurement will be the center where it used to keep approximate time.
No Stamped Pendulum Series on the backplate of the movement means it is the standard 19.1cm series length.
Otherwise it will be marked on the right side with a series eg. 23.5cm or 28.5cm etc.

This movement uses two weights at 3 1/4 LBS (1250 - 1500 Grams) each (not included).
A common pendulum used for this = larger 8 day oak style
